Research cruise for Kagoshima prefecture

Because our last research cruise was canceled, I joined a cruise for Kagoshima prefecture on the Kakuyo-maru from July 22 to 25.

I  was able to obtain samples of plankton, samples of fish juveniles and conduct CTD casts.

We met dolphins!

After sampling, we visited Ibusuki city, Kagoshima prefecture.
I helped with the sampling of Miss.Shanshan, a third year of the 5-year Doctoral program at Nagasaki University.

She collected the poisonous seaweed Chondria armata, but it was not in good condition.

We could see beautiful animals.

After sampling, we took a Sand steam bath and had some dinner.

Sashimi of Spratelloides gracilis.

Shabu-shabu of Black pig.

It was lots of hard work, but a pleasant trip.
